This page lists the videos and articles that talk about my blog, starting with the most recent. I hope you’ll enjoy them!

July 2023. The internal magazine of my employer (called “The REAder”) interviewed me again. This time about the book rather than the blog, which is what was covered in the first interview in October 2020 (see below). Here’s the result (click on the images to read it):

June 2023. The European Commission organised its first book fair in Brussels and I had the pleasure and the privilege of joining it with “L’aquilone sul fiume”. It was a very nice experience, which gave me the opportunity to get in touch with other authors as well:

May 2023. Alberto Toso, whom I would like to thank, hosted a second presentation of my book in Brussels. It was a lovely evening, with lots of questions from the audience. I will cherish its memory:

March 2023. The Gazzettino, a newspaper of the north-east of Italy, published an interview about my book in its cultural section. I am very grateful for this opportunity and I would like to thank Milena Dolcetto, the journalist who wrote the piece, for her work and her interest in “L’aquilone sul fiume”. Here’s the article:

Also, I had the chance to present my book in Italy, in Parma. I would like to thank Valentina Barbieri, who manages the Mavì shop that hosted the event, for its organisation. Here’s some pictures:

February 2023. I presented my book, L’aquilone sul fiume, at Piola Piccola, an Italian bookshop in Brussels, where I live. It was a very intense and emotional experience: being able to share the story of my grandfather with a lot of people was truly fulfilling. Thanks a lot to all those who came! And thank you to the organisers, who hosted the event, and to Fabio Fantozzi, the journalist who interviewed me. Here’s some pictures of the evening:

January 2023. The revised, extended and corrected version of the blog is now a book! It’s published, in Italian, by Ronzani Editore, its release date is 12 January and can be bought here: https://ronzanieditore.it/acquista/laquilone-sul-fiume/

This is a very important stepping stone for this project and I am very glad about it. I would thus like to publicly thank all the people that contributed to this blog since the very beginning: you know who you are. I would not have been able to get so far without your help.

December 2022. On 12 December I had again the great pleasure and the privilege of talking about Findingnonno, the book “L’aquilone sul fiume” and the Italian soldiers who fought in Italy with the Allies to a class of my former high school, the Liceo Scientifico Paleocapa in Rovigo, Italy. Once again, I would like to thank Prof Mauro Sturaro for his kind invitation.

November – December 2022. The youtube videos recorded with Guglielmo Biason during the course of 2020 and 2021, where I narrate the story of my grandpa and the history of the Italian soldiers who fought together with the Allies during the second world war (see below), is now a podcast.

All the episodes are available both on Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/show/69ZWngTBilgj7Lys52fGDx) and Google Podcast (https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy9jNjY2Njc1Yy9wb2RjYXN0L3Jzcw).

May 2022. On 30 May I had the pleasure and the privilege of talking about Findingnonno and the Italian soldiers who fought in Italy alongside the Allies to a class of my former high school, the Liceo Scientifico Paleocapa in Rovigo, Italy. It was a very rewarding experience, for which I would like to thank Prof Mauro Sturaro and his kind invitation.

November 2020 – November 2021. Series of video interviews (in Italian) retracing the various episodes of the blog. They are all realised by Guglielmo Biason, whom I thank profoundly. All the videos are published on his youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/c/GuglielmoBiason/videos

The entire playlist, with all the videos on findingnonno in chronological order, is also available here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZtxQMG20-AxhBPsHCIP9b7896DDjpNSh

February 2020. Here’s the video of an interview I released to BRUZZ, i.e. a platform that publishes and broadcasts news about Brussels:
